A ceremony was conducted by Texas Scots and descendants of the Republic of Texas, honoring Scots who fought at the battle of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836. The cannon is a replica of two guns called “the Twin Sisters” which were donated to the Texas cause by the citizens of Cincinnati in 1836. |

LCDR Channell is now attached to VFA 131 on board the USS Eisenhower (CVN-69) on station in the Mid-East. |
