The Rio Grande Celtic Festival was a very successful recruiting event for SAMS. Post 1912 shared a tent with the Welsh Society and the Irish Society. Jay Vandersloot belongs to all regional Celtic societies, and the Muiseners belong to all regional Irish groups. This event provided Post 1912 with their first opportunity in many years to serve as duty Color Guard even though there were only two members. The Post has obtained broadswords and will present the Colors for the Albuquerque Burns Night in January 2012. |
