With dignity, Robert E, Lee Buchanan died on January 7, 2016.  The military burial service will be held at 1:00pm at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.  Recognitions include: Purple Heart; European African Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal (with four bronze battle stars); American Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal; World War II Army of Occupation Medal; World War II Victory Medal; Yugoslav Medal; member of Royal British Legion Scotland.

    For the past 45 years he made it his mission to play for every fallen serviceman or woman, law enforcement personnel, or first responder to see that they would have a proper piping at their final ceremony.  The number of Veteran parades he piped for are countless.  We are grateful to the Scottish American Military Society and the entire Scottish American Military Society organization for the enriching support and brotherhood they provided.
