Lee “Ron” Galbraith

    Passed away 4 January after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in Idaho, he attended the University of Idaho, and upon graduating, joined the Air Force, serving for 20 years. He was a fighter pilot, flying primarily the F-4 and F-111, out of Air Force installations in Waco, TX; Grand Forks, ND; Montgomery, AL; Lakenheath, England; Araxos, Greece (Command Post); Clark AFB, Philippines; Holloman AFB, NM and McClellan AFB, North Highlands, CA. He earned numerous awards and decorations. After retiring from the AF, Ron worked for the state of California. An avid snow skier, he was a member of the National Ski patrol. He was an accomplished runner with many 5K runs under his belt. Additionally, Ron spent countless hours as an EMT instructional assistant. He is survived by his wife, three children, and six grandchildren.
    Ron was very proud of his Scottish heritage and was a member of SAMS Admiral William A. Moffett Post 1921.
    Funeral services were held 12 Jan in Roseville, and internment was at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon. At the completion of the funeral service in Roseville the PGR accompanied the funeral procession to SVNC.
